Youth Assisting Youth’s 2nd Annual virtual fundraiser: YAY Move-a-Thon
Join us (virtually) as we come together to ride, walk, run and move at a safe distance in support of youth mentoring. Your fundraising is greatly needed so that we can connect youth with meaningful, life-changing mentoring relationships – both offline and online.
A mentor’s impact on a young person’s life can be immeasurable – they provide guidance, encouragement and a sense of togetherness. Yet today, 1 in 3 young people will grow up without a mentor. And for those who do have a mentor, COVID-19 has forced many of those relationships to change while the world navigates the realities of social distancing. It’s given us the opportunity to create many virtual programs and change how we will do mentoring in the future.
Be a mover and changemaker any way that fits your lifestyle. Use our MoveSpring app to track your minutes as you move – whether that’s running, walking, dancing, biking, cartwheeling or hula-hooping. Follow the MoveSpring map and learn about proper training, nutrition, hydration and more along the way. And you can use your Fitbit, AppleWatch, GoogleFit and other tech to track your progress!

Not only can you join our #YAY400challenge and move for 400 kilometres – but you can also challenge yourself to raise $100, $200 or even $400 for youth mentoring. Your fundraising helps move 400 kids from our wait list into meaningful relationships. And with every milestone you reach, you unlock even more.
As you unlock each milestone on the MoveSpring challenge map, you are entered into a draw for great prizes, plus one of our amazing sponsors will match one of our kids with a laptop or tablet!
